How it works
Five steps from sign-up to your first sale
Create your store
Sign up at kapsule.co.nz/sell. Add your store name, logo, and a description of what you sell. This is your brand's home on Kapsule.
Upload your documents
Upload a photo of your driver's licence or passport, plus proof of address and bank account. It's a one-time check that keeps the platform safe for everyone.
List your products
Upload your products with photos, descriptions, pricing and inventory. Add them one by one or bulk import via CSV. Our AI assistant Reid will review each listing to make sure it meets our quality standards.
Get approved
Our team reviews your store and products, usually within 24 hours. Once approved, you're live and visible to our growing customer base across New Zealand.
Sell and get paid
When an order comes in you'll be notified instantly. Ship it, mark it as dispatched, and your payout lands in your account weekly. That's it.

FAQs
Questions we get asked a lot
Is there really no setup fee?
Correct. It's completely free to create your store, verify your identity, and list your products. You only pay when you make a sale.
How does the 8% commission work?
When you make a sale, we deduct 8% from the sale price (excluding shipping). The remainder is paid out to your bank account weekly. There are no other fees.
Do I need to handle customer service?
No. Kapsule's support team and our AI agent Aro handle all buyer enquiries, disputes, and support requests. You'll be notified of anything that needs your input, but day-to-day support is covered.
How do returns work?
Kapsule manages the returns process. If a buyer requests a return, our team assesses it against our policy and handles communication with the buyer. You'll be kept informed throughout.
Can I sell if I manufacture offshore?
Yes. Your products don't need to be made in New Zealand. You just need to be a New Zealand-based business.
How long does approval take?
Store and product approval typically takes less than 24 hours. Our AI reviewer Reid gives instant feedback on listings, so most issues are caught and fixed before manual review.
Can I connect my Shopify store?
Yes. We have a native Shopify integration that syncs your products, inventory and orders automatically.
What if my product doesn't sell?
There's no penalty and no cost. You can delist products, update pricing, or close your store at any time with no fees or lock-in.
How do I get paid?
Payouts are processed weekly directly to your New Zealand bank account. You can view your full payout history in your dashboard.
